The opportunity
We are seeking multiple Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join our teams on site. You will be responsible for ongoing preventative and predictive maintenance with a focus on electrical and instrumentation assets in the plant to achieve site standards of efficiency, quality and safety.
This role operates on an 8 days on and 6 days off roster with the occasional ad hoc 7 nights on and 7 days off night shift.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
- WA “A” grade Electrical Licence
- HV switching operations certificate
- Cert III or IV Instrumentation (desirable)
- A Manual C-class Australian driver’s licence
- A basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems (desirable)
- A team player with a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of process plant equipment
- National Police clearance
To be eligible to apply for this role you must be legally permitted to work permanently in Australia.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform daily maintenance activities for electrical and instrumentation systems on process equipment according to the maintenance plan.
- Troubleshoot electrical components and control systems to identify the causes of failures, including collecting evidence for further analysis.
- Install and maintain electrical infrastructure, ensuring its proper functionality and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Conduct statutory electrical inspections and testing, recording results in compliance with regulations and requirements.
- Manage high-voltage switching and maintain high-voltage assets.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Document maintenance activities, work order completions, and other relevant details accurately in the maintenance management system (SAP).
