Karara Mining Limited (KML) is an Ansteel Group company formed as a joint venture with Gindalbie Metals Limited. Ansteel is one of the largest iron ore producers and steel makers in China. Located 200km south-east of Geraldton, Western Australia, Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West. It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers.

The opportunity

We are currently seeking experienced SAP Master Data Specialists to join our site-based Material Management team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all master data in the SAP system, including managing and maintaining the Bill of Materials (BoM).

This role operates on an 8 days on, and 6 days off continuous day shift roster.

To be successful in this role the following is essential:

• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• WA "C" Class driver's licence
• Knowledge of SAP Master Data Management (MDM), especially within Materials Management (MM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) modules
• Experience in maintaining and updating SAP master data records (e.g., materials, equipment, BOM)
• Proficiency in SAP data entry, management, and troubleshooting
• Understanding of business processes related to procurement, inventory management, and maintenance operations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other reporting tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve data issues efficiently
• A current National Police clearance

Key Duties – as directed by the Senior Parts Engineer includes:

• Overseeing asset records, maintenance plans, spare parts data, and adding non-stock items
• Regularly updating and maintaining the BoM to ensure all components, parts, and materials are correctly linked to maintenance activities
• Ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date, supporting efficient maintenance planning and execution, enhance asset management, and help improve plant performance

The Specialists will work closely with the maintenance and reliability teams to guarantee that data integrity is upheld, enabling effective decision-making and seamless operations.

About Karara Mining

Located 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks. As part of the logistics network Karara owns and operates 80km of railway between Tilley Junction and the Karara mine site, linking the Karara Export Terminal at the Port of Geraldton, able to handle up to 16 Mtpa of export product from a dedicated berth, with associated rail and train unloading infrastructure.
